Pole Dance

Pole Dance is a full-body workout that develops coordination, flexibility, stamina and strength – not to mention your confidence! At ShowPony we have pole classes for absolute beginners (with no dance or fitness experience) through to advanced.

We have a few different types of pole classes:Levelled classes - Learn pole tricks and combinations and develop a routine during the term. The focus is on skill development, coordination and building your pole strength. Levels: BRONZE POLE (beginner), SILVER POLE (intermediate), GOLD POLE (higher intermediate), PLATINUM POLE (advanced - invitation only)

  • Pole Jam - Learn a full routine in each lesson, with a focus on dance skill. Beginner / Inter & Advanced classes available.

  • Pole/Chair - Combining Pole Dancing and Chair Dancing in the one class - Silver level +.

  • Pole Tricks & Technique - Focuses on building and perfecting pole- your tricks, skills, and combinations.

Burlesque

Burlesque is a sensual form of dance with a rich history!

 

From Gypsy Rose Lee to Dita Von Teese, this form of dance has spanned the decades and is now the perfect way to workout and develop your confidence. Learn the art of strip tease while using props such as fans, gloves, boas and stockings. 

 

We have burlesque classes for beginners through to advanced.

Heels

Ever wanted to star is a music video clip? Then this class is for you!

 

Heels Dance is Commercial Jazz with a little more SASS. It is a fantastic cardio workout with a focus on footwork and includes floorwork sequences.You don’t have to wear heels for this class – bare feet are also fine. After a few of these classes, you will be asking, Beyonce who"! We recommend you chat to us before enrolling in your class as some have pre-requisites.

Sensual Heels - A slower, slinkier version of Heels (this class is a great please to start if you're interested in Heels as its usually a slower routine)

Sling

Sometimes called Aerial Hammock, this apparatus is the sister to Silks (think Cirque De Solei) but with the added support of the hammock set-up. Slings develops your strength, flex and overall fitness by integrating slings into aerial sequences. Climb, spin, invert, hook, twist and learn mini routines incorporating your new skills.

 

We have sling classes for beginners through to advanced.

Lyra

Sometimes called Aerial Hoop, this apparatus is similar to trapeze in some ways. It is a steel hoop rigged in the air (at varying heights – depending on the level).

 

This class will develop your strength, coordination and confidence.

 

Climb, spin, invert, hook, twist and learn mini routines incorporating your new skills.

 

We have lyra classes for beginners through to advanced.

Chair Dance

Think Cabaret meets The Pussycat Dolls – on a chair!

 

Chair Dance is an amazing and fun workout where you get to also feel sexy and confident. You learn chair tricks and acro, as well as the art of striptease and lap dance. This class is currently merged with a pole dancing class to mix it up! 

 

We recommend a beginner level pole knowledge but is suitable for all levels. 

Lyra Jam

 IT'S ROUTINE TIME FOR LYRA! Learn a new routine every 2 weeks with Luna! This course is for anyone that can comfortably invert on a Lyra.

Fire Play

Ever wanted to play with fire? Well now is your chance, Miss Fury will be running a full term of FIRE PLAY! Get comfortable with fire, fire tricks, dancing with fire and full routines! We will be covering all things sexy and seductive as we turn up the heat. 

 

All props and fuel provided & all necessary precautions are taken for this class. 

 

Please wear cotton based clothes or active wear with arms bare.

Dance Fusion

This course is a mixed bag of dance styles! Heels, Hip Hop, Jazz, Contemporary... find it all here! Learn a new routine every week in a new dance style! This is a non pole class and might require heels, sneakers or knee pads! This is an awesome course to challenge yourself and learn to move in a different way!

Pole Tricks &
Base Work

Pole choreography is not your thing? No worries! This class is a tricks based class, so no choero involved. Learn some epic tricks, flips, exotic flow tricks that you might not cover in your other levelled pole classes. We recommend a Silver Pole level for this class.

Flow (pole)

Learn a routine to explore the finer details in dance to improve your shapes, fluidity, how you string movements together, musicality, dynamics, freestyle, use of space and facial expressions. This class is designed to help you find what style suits you love best. We'll be exploring styles such as exotic, showgirl, contemporary, lyrical and commercial dance. We recommend a term of Bronze Pole before enrolling in the course.
